About me

With over 20 years of coaching experience, I have been helping riders and horses achieve their goals since qualifying in 2004. Now as a BHS Stage 5 Coach, I combine extensive practical experience with a supportive, horse-centred approach to coaching. My riding background includes competing in BE Novice level, producing a wide range of horses from unbacked 3yo's to event horses. I have also competed at the BRC National Championships at Medium Freestyle and continue to train and compete now, allowing me to bring current, practical experience into every lesson.

I coach riders of all ages and abilities, from nervous or novice riders to experienced competitors and those progressing through the BHS career pathway. Whether your goal is to improve your confidence, prepare for a BHS exam, develop your young horse, refine your flatwork or jumping, or achieve success in competition, I provide tailored coaching to support you every step of the way.

I have a particular interest in rider position, effectiveness and biomechanics, helping riders develop greater balance, harmony and communication with their horses. By focusing on horse welfare and creating realistic, achievable goals, I aim to build confidence and lasting partnerships between horse and rider. Coaching doesn't stop when the lesson ends—I am always happy to offer ongoing support, advice and guidance between sessions to help you continue progressing. I also offer coaching in groundwork, young horse development and competition preparation, ensuring both horse and rider have the skills and confidence to succeed.

Based in Cross Hands, South Wales, I regularly travel throughout Carmarthenshire and Swansea, and am happy to travel further across Pembrokeshire, Bridgend and Cardiff for clinics by arrangement. Prices are available on request.
